Walk Endlessly

In the world of the seven seas
Across the desert
A man alone
Walks endlessly
Mile after mile
Day after day
He travels forward
No end in sight
But forward he walks
Travelling by day and night
Lips parched
By wind and heat
Remember a lover’s kiss
Hands of leather
A warm caress
And alone he walks
With no thought
Of his own
As his mind
Has forgotten
All but the movement
Of the sand
Which he follows
Day in
Day out
If he did think
Death
He would wish for
But long past that
He is
So he walks
Endlessly
