Honesty, another virtue we must possess if we can

The other day I was auditing my paychecks and found on that shorted me nine hours worth of pay, three straight time hours and four overtime hours.  When I made this known to the companies dispatcher via text I was informed that I was wrong, I had only worked five hours that day.  I am guessing that means the other seven were volunteer hours.  Monetarily that equates to two hundred and twenty five dollars gross.

After putting some thought into it I will be sending an email to the company detailing that week and day in question just as I would in a court case but making it clear he can keep the money in exchange for admitting someone else was in error.  If not I will be taking snapshots of our text messages and sending them on first to him and then on to the state agency who handles such situations, I would rather not go there as it makes me look bad, but I believe even in business we need to be honest, a virtue we seldom find it seems this day and age.
