Drifting on a Coasting Platter

Sitting in my air conditioned booth doing what I can to help cool off the indoor amphitheater, I am smiling on the inside as I consider how many people would have a fit if they knew I had the sliding opaque window open with the air conditioner on.  Not my first choice as I can not even see my lights thanks to the screen in my way.

It matters not as I am comfortable and I an see what the lights look like on stage.  It will be up to the spots to do much of the fill work for the video crew as the performers are standing almost under my downstage truss, again not my choice.  But hey since it will be daylight for some time even seeing the lights until the last few songs may prove interesting.  Such is life in the world of entertainment.  But hey those in the front rows will know the lights are on as a I made sure to focus the upstage lights so they could look at the pretty colors as they blind themselves looking into the lights.  Guess all those warnings about not looking into the light mean something.

So let me give you all a piece of advice unless you are wearing sunglasses and even then I do not recommend it though I do it  more often than I like, never look into the hotspot of the light.  So much for me spouting while looking at Lake Chelan, I guess I will leave that up to the professionals now.
