Why Not Afghanistan?

So recently Uncle O decided to make good on his promise partially to bring the boys and girls home from their job of keeping the Middle East from Imploding.  I remember what so many said of why we went in the first place, as it was about the oil.  I do not buy it as America did not get the money though my guess a few mainly in congress have reaped a windfall from our involvement.  So now we are leaving, but let us not stop there, let us also bring them back from Afghanistan or is their Opium trade which is the core of their economy to big a boost to some pocketbooks to bring those boys and girls home.

Sorry but the Brits, the Russkies and my guess a few other Empires before us have been given the boot so why do we still need to be there in-mass, yes I know we will keep a few boots on the ground but if we are not going to let the boys and girls do their job I say bring them home and let us prepare for the next incursion of the whacked out nut jobs who think blowing up themselves or their children to kill a few is martyrdom. My personal opinions aside as truthfully I have not disclosed them as in the end they do not matter is time to also bring our boys and girls are home from Afghanistan.  This I say for two reasons we have gotten the mastermind behind the attacks but also we can not afford another scenario like Viet Nam.  Don't worry about the opium it will still get here as our astute leaders receiving their silver pieces will not close down the borders.
