“Enron” is the “play” about the rise and fall of
Enron. It starts out with a lawyer telling everybody that these thing may not be
/exactly/ how it happened. But that they would put it all together and sell it
to you as the truth. Than it goes to a party scene where the four main
characters are introduced including The big boss dude (whose name I cannot
remember) Some lady (whom I can also not remember her name) Skilling and Fascow.
They go on to explain something about trading and the markets.
As the story progresses the lady and Skilling compete to become the next CEO of Enron. Skilling gets the job and proceeds to make many changes in the company. Those changes include quitting just selling gas and oil, and hiring a new CFO (Fascow).
They set up a banking system (that is now in widespread use today) that caused the company to become a “black box” by feeding all the debt into themselves and not actually selling anything but stock.
They ended up being caught and going to prison (the boss dude died).

The fact that is most people never knew that Enron prior to the late 1990's actually was a real company that sold real products. During the short tenure of Skilling not only did he manage to destroy a company but his business model was adopted as a teaching model at several major business schools and embraced by congress in such lovely companies as Solyndria and other green energy companies. Hello it did not work then and wow would you believe it, it does not work now but instead of sending those congressional leaders and their cronies who are partly responsible for this, not to mention our friendly neighborhood Uncle O. This house of cards they are trying to build will also fail and my daughter will have the joy of inheriting the mess.
